Dear Moms,
On behalf of the ALBC MOPS Steering Team, we offer our greetings and trust each of you had a great summer. We hope that you are as excited for the new MOPS year to begin as we are! There are a few changes from last year, and our prayer is that you will enjoy all that is being planned for a great MOPS year.
The MOPS International theme for this year is THE HOME FACTOR: BEGIN HERE... GO THERE. In our homes of origin many of us learned the deepest lessons about relationships, developed life routines, and acquired our tastes and preferences. Now, as moms, we long to create homes where our families can thrive and grow -- and we can too. Our meetings focus on relating this theme throughout the year with participation in small discussion groups, teachings relating to motherhood, fellowship with other moms, and creative activities.
Meeting Days and Time
Meetings for 2007 - 2008 will be in the evening. Our desire is that the evening will give more moms the opportunity to join us. In addition, moms get a night out! Meetings will be held at ALBC on the 1st & 3rd Thursday evenings of each month from 6:30pm- 8:30pm beginning Sept. 20th.
Please keep in mind MOPPETS (childcare) will not be offered, but new or nursing babies are welcome to join us in the meetings.
Group Fees
An initial $20 registration fee for MOPS International is due when registering. For those not familiar with MOPS International dues, you will receive benefits such as bi-monthly MomSense magazines, encouraging weekly mom e-mails, and a calendar designed for moms.
Meeting dues will again be $5 per meeting. This covers door prizes, new baby gifts, publicity costs, leadership training costs, crafts and other miscellaneous operating expenses.
This year you will also have the opportunity to pay either for the entire year, by semester, or meeting by meeting. For those who pre-pay, there is a savings of $1 off per meeting (however, there will be no refunds for missed meetings). Also, there is a gift for the first 24 moms who pay the $20 MOPS Int'l fee along with the first semester or annual dues.

- Don't forget the $20 MOPS Int'l fee is in addition to the meeting dues (can be paid in one check).

Registration
Registration is open with the mailing of this letter. Remember the first 24 moms who pay the $20 MOPS Int'l fee and pre-pay meeting dues will receive a gift!
